How to prepare a file for printing

Preparing a file for printing is crucial to achieving the highest print quality. Below are the key guidelines to help you properly prepare your file:

File Format

Use the TIFF format
The file should be saved without layers
Apply LZW compression
Ensure the file does not contain an embedded color profile

File Size

Prepare the file at a 1:1 scale, meaning the actual size at which it will be printed.

Resolution

The file resolution should be between 80 to 300 dpi, depending on the final print size. Higher values are recommended for smaller prints to ensure the best quality.

Color Space

Work in the CMYK color space, which is the standard for printing.

Color Profile

Design the file using the Coated FOGRA39 profile to achieve accurate color reproduction in print.

Preparing a file for printing with cut contour may seem complicated, but with the right steps and tools, such as Adobe Illustrator, it can be done effectively. Below is the process for Cut Contours & Illustrator.

Creating a contour (Cut Contour)

Open Adobe Illustrator and load your design
Select the object you want to outline
Create a new layer named "Draw"
Use the Pen Tool (P) or another tool to draw the precise shape of your cut around the object
Make sure the contour is a closed path with a thickness of 0.099px

Defining the contour color

In the Swatches panel, create a new color swatch
Name the color "Draw" (exactly like this)
Set the color type to Spot Color
Select color #d88d2a
Go to "Attributes" and activate the "Overprint Stroke" option

Assigning the contour color

Select the drawn contour
In the Swatches panel, choose the previously created "Draw" color
Ensure that the contour is assigned as the cutting line

Checking correctness

Ensure that the contour (Draw) is correctly assigned and visible

What is the time to process the order?

We prepare all products for your individual order. The time of printouts consists of production time and shipping time. All prints are made within 1-5 business days.

What is the delivery time?

The delivery time depends on the selected carrier:
Domestic courier service takes 1-2 business days
Foreign courier company, EU foreign parcel 2-4 working days
The courier company, foreign shipment outside the EU takes 2-5 business days

You can check the status of the shipment online at any time by entering the package number on the website of the selected carrier.

Do we ship products abroad?

Yes, we ship orders anywhere in the world.

Delivery of international shipments outside the European Union:
Duties and Import Taxes - The buyer is responsible for any applicable customs and import taxes. Customs procedures may extend the delivery time.

How to proceed in the event of a problem with the delivery / shipment?

In case of any problems with the shipment, please contact the courier directly. The name of the carrier can be found in the e-mail confirming the order.

Can I withdraw from the contract?

No, due to the fact that the products you purchase are personalized and made to your individual order, it is not possible to withdraw from the contract or return the product.

My package is damaged, what should I do?

If the parcel has damage to the packaging that causes concern, ask the courier to open it in his presence. If the content is damaged due to improper transport, prepare a damage report with the courier and send it to hello@subforma.com with the note "COMPLAINT" and we will do the rest. If you notice any damage after the courier has left, you have 7 days to report the damage, but then you must prove that the contents have been damaged before the package is delivered.
After taking into account the damage, we will resend your order or refund the money for the purchased product within 14 days.
ATTENTION! If you have found defects in the product resulting from a damaged package after the courier has left, you do not have a damage report, the complaint will not be considered.
